Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s request for daily video consultations with his doctor has been rejected by a special judge. Instead, a medical board composed of doctors from AIIMS will decide whether Kejriwal needs insulin or not. The court also ordered that Kejriwal be provided with home-cooked food that adheres to his doctor’s diet chart. The court criticized the jail authorities for allowing food items that were not part of Kejriwal’s prescribed diet to be sent to him. The Enforcement Directorate had alleged that Kejriwal was deliberately eating certain foods to raise his blood sugar levels and create grounds for bail.
