Calcutta High Court has cancelled the illegal recruitment of 23,753 teachers and staff by the 2016 School Service Commission. The court ordered them to return their salaries with interest and called for fresh recruitment within 15 days. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee plans to appeal the verdict. The court found that the recruitment process was manipulated and the names of those hired were included illegally.
